SHIFT & Cambrian Players March Social Event Recap
SHIFT Thunder Bay’s Young Professionals Network strives to engage our members by hosting a variety of unique events for them to enjoy. Most recently we hosted a SHIFT & Cambrian Players Social Event on March 1st, 2012 presented by DeLuca’s Family Restaurant and sponsored by Marcia’s Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio and Cambrian Players.
Around 40 SHIFTers joined us for a nice casual evening full of Italian flair with great food and great entertainment. Ted and Julia DeLuca along with their friendly staff at DeLuca’s provided us with exceptional service in the private ‘Brooklyn Room’ and treated us to an abundance of delectable menu items including a variety of thin crust pizzas and an assortment of specialty items including nut-free, dairy-free, vegan and celiac friendly options!
Marcia Burleigh, owner of Marcia’s Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio donated a great door prize and provided SHIFTers with coupons for complimentary facials! Tracey Tebbenham and Jay Stapleton from Cambrian Players joined us to talk to us about their organization and singer / musician Andrew Hamilton so kindly provided us with tasteful live music for the duration of the reception. Andrew truly is a talented artist and we are so fortunate to have had him share his music with us. As the night continued, so did the talent.
Following the social portion of the evening, SHIFTers proceeded to Paramount Theatre to enjoy an original Cambrian Players play called “Roman Conquest” a comedy by John Patrick. Like SHIFT, Cambrian Players is a volunteer-based organization and we are so thrilled that our two organizations were able to connect for this event. For many SHIFTers, this was their first time viewing a Cambrian Players pay and we truly enjoyed this hilarious production.
Thank you to our Board members, sponsors and SHIFTers for making this event another unique one to add to our repertoire!
