SHIFT Wraps Up Year with Ambassadors Launch at AGM

Thunder Bay, ON, May 15th, 2018 – This past year, SHIFT: Thunder Bay’s Young Professionals Network has been very successful in gaining new corporate partnerships as well as nurturing existing ones.  SHIFT has been focused on inclusivity and ensuring that everyone feels like they can be a part of SHIFT.  Following its Annual General Meeting, SHIFT launched its new SHIFT Ambassadors membership aimed at the over 40 demographics.

SHIFT Ambassadors allows SHIFTers and future SHIFTers who have reached the age of 40 to continue to attend SHIFT events and help drive Thunder Bay forward. For the price of $60, SHIFT Ambassadors can:

-       Attend awesome events and receive a 10% discount on all ticket prices

-       Be featured in SHIFT’s online SHIFTer directory

-       Attend SHIFTer only events

-       Meet new people, make connections and build partnerships in the community

-       Receive a special invitation to SHIFT’s Thank You Event

-       Access SHIFT’s online job bank and volunteer opportunities

-       Join any committee that a SHIFT Board Director has created.

Zahid Hasan, SHIFT’s current Treasurer, says, “Talent never ends. Instead, it increases as we grow wiser. SHIFT realizes this and is now introducing the SHIFT Ambassador program.  This program will give us and our members an opportunity to stay connected, network in our city and have some fun.”

Board Directors Introduced for 2018-2019

SHIFT itself is also evolving as it recognizes the contributions of its 2017-2018 Executive Board and Board of Directors while it introduces its new team for the 2018-2019 year.

Samantha Mihalus will be re-running as President of the Board. Three SHIFTers have been newly acclaimed to the Board and were announced at the AGM:

  • Krishna Tangilapalli, Bombardier
